Solar Alchemy: Celebrating Kacie Peters – A Legacy of Light and Transformation

Welcome to a special edition of Solar Alchemy: Women’s Stories of Career Transformation. This newsletter was born from a desire to share the incredible journeys of senior women in solar, what shaped their paths, what they learned, and how they’re making an impact. Today, I want to share the story of a remarkable woman who embodies the spirit of solar alchemy and also inspired the creation of this very newsletter, my former colleague, Kacie Peters.

Kacie passed away in 2023 at age 37 after living with colon cancer for almost four years. Her absence is still felt by many of us in the solar industry. She was sharp, funny, driven, and had an instinct for connecting people and ideas. She built a career in solar that helped grow companies, open markets, and create space for others, especially women, to do meaningful work and be seen for it.
